Privacy policy

Effective from 11 Oct 2026. The data controller is IceFrame s.r.o., IČO 06711294, se sídlem Chudenická 1059/30, 102 00 Praha 10 – Hostivař, zapsaná v obchodním rejstříku vedeném Městským soudem v Praze, the operator of Kempspot (kempspot.cz), contact info@kempspot.cz. We process data in accordance with the GDPR.

What data we store

  • Account: email, encrypted password (name and email from your Google account if you sign in with Google), nickname, optional avatar and travel type.
  • Contributions: ratings, comments, photos, occupancy reports, added places, "Helpful" votes and reports – always with a date.
  • Contact us form: name, email, message and IP address (only for protection against spam).

Why

  • providing the account and publishing your contributions (performance of a contract – the terms of use),
  • protection against abuse and spam (legitimate interest),
  • replying to your message (legitimate interest).

Only your nickname, avatar and contributions are visible publicly. We never publish or sell your email address.

How long

  • Account data for as long as the account exists.
  • Contact form messages for at most 2 years, their IP addresses for at most 12 months.
  • After the account is deleted, the email, nickname and avatar are removed; published contributions remain anonymised ("Former user").

Processors

Data is stored with a cloud infrastructure provider in the EU/USA under contractual safeguards. Without requiring consent (these services do not set cookies), we load: map tiles and basemaps from OpenFreeMap, terrain from AWS Terrain Tiles, place search from Photon (Komoot), nearby photos from Mapillary and photos from Wikimedia Commons. When loading tiles and photos, these services technically process your IP address and browser data.

Cookies

Kempspot does not use its own advertising or analytics cookies. We use browser storage for sign-in and your display preferences.

Embedded Google Maps content

The "Google reviews" section is provided directly by Google through the Places UI Kit. Google Maps content loads only with your consent: either permanently ("Allow Google content" in the bottom bar) or once via the "Load reviews from Google" button. We store the choice in your browser and, for signed-in users, also in your profile; you can change it anytime via the "Privacy settings" link in the footer. In doing so, Google processes your IP address and browser data and may set cookies under its privacy policy. We only store the association of place identifiers with aggregate load counts, without identifying visitors. We do not store or process review texts, star ratings or rating counts from Google outside its component. The "Reviews on Google Maps" link opens Google's website in a new window.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, port your data and object to processing. You can delete your account yourself in My profile or on the Account deletion page. Send requests for access, rectification or erasure to info@kempspot.cz or via the Contact us form. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (uoou.gov.cz).
