Terms of use

Effective from 11 Oct 2026. The Kempspot service (kempspot.cz) is operated by IceFrame s.r.o., IČO 06711294, se sídlem Chudenická 1059/30, 102 00 Praha 10 – Hostivař, zapsaná v obchodním rejstříku vedeném Městským soudem v Praze (the "operator"). Details are on the Operator page.

1. The service

Kempspot is a free map of campsites and places to stay in nature. Data from OpenStreetMap and from users may be incomplete or outdated; please check the conditions with the place's operator before you travel. We are not liable for damages arising from the use of this data.

2. User account

An account is required to add content. You are responsible for the security of your password and for all activity under your account. You can delete your account at any time in your profile.

3. Your content

  • You are responsible for the reviews, comments, photos and places you add.
  • You may only upload photos you took yourself or to which you hold the rights. Photos should not show identifiable people without their consent.
  • By uploading content, you grant Kempspot a free, non-exclusive, time- and territory-unlimited licence to display it, adapt its format (e.g. resize it) and publish it within the service and its apps. The licence survives the anonymisation of content when an account is deleted.

Photo sources

Photos on Kempspot come from users, from Wikimedia Commons (licence stated for each file, mostly CC BY-SA) and from Mapillary (community street and road photos, licence CC BY-SA 4.0). Each photo shows its author and source; photos from Mapillary link to the original image.

4. Prohibited content

Google reviews are displayed directly by the Google Maps Places UI Kit component, separately from Kempspot visitor ratings; they load only after you consent to Google content or click "Load reviews from Google". Content may be unavailable if the quota is exhausted. We leave Google's and authors' attribution unchanged; we do not copy reviews or ratings into our own database. Use of this content is governed by the Google Maps terms and Google privacy policy.

  • vulgar, offensive, hateful or discriminatory content,
  • advertising, spam and links to unrelated websites,
  • false reviews, reviews of your own business or of a competitor,
  • content infringing copyright, privacy or the law,
  • encouraging overnight stays where this is prohibited (e.g. national parks).

5. Moderation

We may hide content, adapt its format, remove it, or restrict or cancel an account that violates these terms, without giving a reason. Posts containing links or inappropriate words are held for approval before publication.

6. Governing law and dispute resolution

These terms and the relationships arising from them are governed by the law of the Czech Republic. Consumers may resolve a dispute out of court with the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (adr.coi.cz); this does not affect the right to go to court.
